Sedibeng police pounced on robbers in Kliprivier as they were off-loading goods from a truck which was reportedly hijacked in Germiston.
According to Police Spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda, the police received intelligence that a truck that had been hijacked in Germiston had been
traced to a plot in Kliprivier.
The Police found this truck at a plot in Kliprivier along with three firearms, livestock and vehicles suspected to have been used to commit crimes.
“Members of the SAPS were informed and rushed to plot 38 on Nelson Road. On arrival, the police caught the suspects who were busy offloading skin care products and consumables from the trailer of the truck.
The suspects could not account to the ownership of the property.
Police are investing a case of possession of unlicensed firearms, possession of suspected stolen property and ammunition.
The vehicles found on the premises were impounded as they are suspected to have been used while committing crimes.
