Former VUT FC coach joins struggling Royal Eagles

SEDIBENG.- After he took VUT FC to the Last 16 of the Nedbank Cup, Coach Stan Nkoane has joined GladAfrica Championship Club, Royal Eagles.
The club announced on their website that Nkoane is now part of its technical team. This is in an attempt to escape relegation, as the team is currently languishing at the bottom of the GladAfrica Championship log standings.
However, VUT FC Football Manager, Adolfas Tsotetsi, said that it was not yet a done deal. This is despite the fact that Royal Eagles FC have already paraded Nkoane on their official club website.
“Thanks for calling, it is not yet official because as VUT we must sit down with both parties to map a way forward. For now, Stan is still a VUT coach and things are not as reported in the national media,” concluded Tsotetsi.
Nkoane made a name for himself when he led ‘The Students’, as VUT FC is commonly known, to the last 32 and 16 of the Nedbank Cup.
Nkoane shocked experienced coach, Steve Khompela when VUT FC beat Golden Arrows on penalties in the Last 32 of Nedbank Cup.
The Students also gave the former African Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns a run of their money in the Last 16 of the same cup competition.
This impressive performance caught the attention of many in South African football.
Nkoane has proven himself as one of the young coaches with a bright future in South African football.
