Vereeniging Magistrate Court closed to allow deep cleaning

A Covid 19 case at Vereeniging Magistrate Court delayed the serving of justice by one day.

The court was sealed on Monday to give way to sanitization and cleaning and will be opened on Tuesday, 30 June. All cases that were supposed to be heard on Monday were summarily moved to Tuesday without any appearance. One other interesting case was the sentencing of three members of a syndicate involved in the robbery of well-known United Kingdom businessman Gary Immelman in 2011.

Immelman was shot several times during the robbery.
